Cowtown Pattie

Sounds like a lot of fun! Keep good notes and photos, m'dear, for your blogHer friend down in Lone Star country.

nina

Miss Pattie: They are going to have people live blogging it, so you can read all about it from various sources, too. Why don't you come??

Dude. I am so not displaying poor judgement. However, if you deface our Buddah statues, my pup will totally kick your ass. Or lick your face off.

nina

I've been dying to get my face licked off, but I don't want the bad karma that goes with defacing the Buddha. Won't he lick my face off for some other transgression? Caffeine abuse, for example. I'm good at that.

I am so bummed that I almost said something not nice about my family, for choosing to come all the way from Texas to visit ON THAT VERY WEEKEND!!! *sigh*

Kimberly

Oh, and you've been tagged (but only 'cuz you said you were willing). Details here:

So I'll scoop you up from the airport and we'll repair to this event, yes? Yes!

Wendy

Nina - how cool is this! I am jealous but looking forward to hearing all about it.

Hi Nina :-)

I'm afraid I cannot attend Blogher. As much as I deluded myself into believing it was possible the reality is that I'm not in the economic comfort zone that would allow me to *jet off* to California for three days. Instead, I'm going to go camping and swim in a lake. I can afford that and it will be peaceful, private and relaxing.

One thing many of my American pals don't realise (or forget) is that everything in US dollars is TWICE as much in Canadian :-) Obviously flying *within* the US is very cheap for US citizens. However, from Canada to the US, let alone across the entire country, is the same price as a trip to Paris/UK. If I had the $ to travel to Europe I'd go there in a heartbeat. Perhaps in a few years I'll be in a position to afford to fly to California for a three day conference ...

I am glad, however, for all those gals who can afford to attend the conference. If I lived in the US this would probably be no big deal but I don't.
