One of my favorite things about the Oscars was watching Annie Lennox perform. Her latest album "Bare" is one of the most powerful emotional statements any female pop vocalist has made in a very long time. I can hardly bear (pun intended--I can't help myself) to listen to it sometimes, she captures so perfectly the whirlwind of feelings that have been roaring through my life lately. And her self portraits rock. Funny how sometimes the most personal things end up being the most universal.
