The spiders love the rosemary bush. There are at least half a dozen webs spread out between its fragrant branches I had thought that some of the empty ones were abandoned, but on closer inspection, the spider is often hiding off-web in between the rosemary needles.
The rosemary is a very pungent variety, almost too intense for cooking - at least in the amounts I tend to use. I think I will infuse some vodka with it and make lemon rosemary martinis.
I am not sad that summer is over. Autumn always quickens my heart just a little bit, even if I miss those June evenings when dusk didn't come until ten. The fog makes everything soft and glistening. The foghorns sound all night, lowing like cows.
oooh - I love rosemary - don't actually have any at the moment - but the thought of spiders in my rosemary makes me shudder.

Herbal lore states that rosemary will grow particularly well in gardens tended by strong-willed women. I imagine yours will do quite well! Autumn is typically a time for change for me. I have had 2 major breakups occur then. A friend said it is that people think of who they want to winter with and make changes as needed.

anita, I love that bit about strong-willed women and rosemary. I'd never heard that before.
