Ask a blogger to list some of her dreams, and chances are one of them is to figure out a way to turn this obsession labor of love of hers into a source of income for herself and her kidlet. Sure, she does it happily for free, but it is so very tiresome to spend so many hours every day, year in and year out, doing something you really don't like very much just to survive. Wouldn't it be better to combine the love and money into one tidy package? Aren't you supposed to do what you love and the money will follow?
Well, money all I have to say is that it took you long enough to catch up. I'm thrilled and tickled and still a bit disbelieving, but dear dear readers, although I can't quit the day gig just yet, I'm 'bout to get PAID, yes PAID to blog. And that is very sweet indeed.
Those crazy folks at Club Mom have selected me to write one of their forthcoming mom blogs. There's going to be a whole slew of them, and let me tell you, the women they have chosen to write these are fantastic bloggers. I'm damn excited to be included. Details soon.
Meanwhile, I've been explaining to the kidlet that while yes, I am on the computer an awful lot, these days it's partly because I have a new job, and being on the computer is part of that job, and in order to afford our nice new apartment, mommy needs this job. So back off from the computer and let mommy have it! Yesterday evening after I picked him up from daycare he asked me if I was going to have to work on my blobber job later. That's how I am to be addressed from now on, folks: paid professional blobber.
