OK, so I take back some of the mean things I said about August yesterday. August evenings are long and soft and I spent a lovely one yesterday at a local park, drinking wine and eating pasta with some delightful parents of children who go to hippie daycare with the kidlet.

Are you to blame for the fog and drizzle today? It was a welcome relief, I admit.

Actually, I'm not sure it was an entirely "mean" post that has to be renounced. I thoroughly enjoyed it - if it was "bitching", it was taking bitching to the next level, in terms of aesthetic qualities. This phrase you wrote:
"dirty beige smear of smog all across the horizon making the mountains look sepia-toned instead of white."
was particularly poetic. And how about this one?
"all the cars glittering up at me all day make me kinda woozy. And sandpiles of pollen are coating everything and invading my sinuses."
This is fantastic writing, involving the senses, and very vivid!
So, "bitch on", if this is the result. :D ;)

Right on, Sour Duck! It's the writing, the turn of the phrase, the thoughtfulness in what you say that I enjoy so much.
