another Seattle coffee gem
Isn't this gorgeous? It's called Espresso Ambrosia, and they sell it at the tiny Belltown coffee shop called Espresso Ulysses. I've been ogling it on the menu ever since they opened, and it was as good as I'd hoped. It ain't no latte, that's for sure. It's two shots of sweetened espresso, with a floater of chilled heavy cream. You sip it slowly, the hot sweet coffee piercing through the rich coolness of the cream. I agree with their rule of not serving it to go. It's a sensual experience, and the beauty of the drink, as you can see above, is part of the fun. Nectar of the gods indeed.

Any place with Ulysses in the title must be good.
I once had something that looked something like that. It had two tablespoons of brown sugar per ounce of espresso. The cream looked nothing like the one in your picture.

Wow. I'll take a double. Do they deliver? To Chicago?
