Seattle has a wonderful series of neighborhood Farmer's Markets, most of which operate May-October. At least one of them, however, is open now, and as a certain fellow blogger that I know picks up her produce there, we decided to merge that activity with our Sunday going for coffee thang, and ended up going pretty darn crazy this morning purchasing all sorts of yummy products from local farmers and cheesemongers and such. To wit: one hunk o' locally smoked salmon, one wedge of extra sharp Port Edison cheese, one handmade Christmas gift, several bunches of organic produce, and no less than four miniature pies to share between us (coffee and pie, who can blame us?). We then stopped by our favorite local coffee hangout, got our java to go, and drank it in front of the fireplace at her house. As the kidlet would say, lovely.
