Welcome Bitch PhD readers. If Chris would have given me some warning he was going to put out some link love, I'd have had something really brilliant prepared. Instead, let me tell you a kidlet story. I spend a lot of time reading blogs. The kidlet, who is seven, may not really get what a blog is, but he recognizes the ones that I frequent when he sees them on my computer screen. One day we were talking about how many years of school he has left. We counted up from first grade through the rest of his elementary school years, then talked about middle and high school, and how old he would be when he finished those. Finally, we talked about college, and all the cool things you could study when you were there.
"And you know what?" I told him. "You can even go to more school after college and get another degree called a doctorate."
"Oh! I know what that is," he told me his face lighting up with the joy of the right answer. "That's when you get your bitch PhD!"
Mr. Hottie McNaturepants likes to surprise people.
